In plant engineering and construction as well as in the servicing of power stations, the current practice in procuring printed signs and markers has so far been divided into two processes: either contracting printing services from outside suppliers or maintaining an in-house printing department to produce all necessary signs and labels.

Within the scope ofcommissioning processes, this company in each case has to replaceabout 10 to 15 percent of markersas a result of loss, damage and new inscription requirements. In the past, lists of all the replacement markers would sent to the supplier.
