Brass is a traditional material for signs, plaques and nameplates. It is frequently chosen for its classic, timeless character, to denote refinement and good taste.
Brass signs are usually screen printed, although they may also be embossed or laser etched. However, the various processes for making brass signs are all relatively costly, and companies that require such signs on a regular basis will want to look around for other alternatives. A cost-effective option is now available.
PrintoLUX offers a revolutionary solution to the problem of making brass signs. With its professionally engineered printers and the accompanying software, making these signs becomes easy and affordable. Certified materials, including PrintoLUX heat-setting ink, ensure brilliant and lasting print quality.
Before a sign is printed, the brass should be pre-treated by cleaning the surface with CATS+ solution, also available through PrintoLUX. This ensures that ink will adhere to the metal surface. Once the ink has been applied, the sign is placed in a thermal unit where it is heated to a temperature of between 90 and 180 degrees C to heat-set the ink. The result is an attractive and extremely durable product.
The PrintoLUX digital printing process is currently distributed throughout Germany and in many European countries. PrintoLUX is expanding its international distribution network, and the complete system will soon be available worldwide.
